Wednesdays can be yucky. Sandwiched between weekends, Wednesdays are just another day to slog through before you can have fun and relax again. There is no better time for a change of pace, a quick pick-me-up to get the second half of your week off to a great start!

Now that it’s spring, get your butt outdoors and go for a nature walk! It doesn’t matter if you live in a bustling metropolis, or if your closest neighbor is miles away; Fresh air is a great mood booster, and it might just change the way you look at Wednesdays! Spend at least 15 minutes walking around outside, observing the great outdoors. Really pay attention, and you’ll notice wonders all around you, big and small. See that giant Oak tree down the street? Hear the robin chirping at you? Did you notice the tiny caterpillar crawling across the sidewalk? Count the pinecones you pass. If there aren’t any pinecones, count windows. How many windows do you walk by in those short 15 minutes?  How many spiders did you see?

This type of activity is a great way to unwind and give your brain a much-needed vacation from the grind of everyday life. Don’t be surprised if your mood improves immediately. If not, give yourself another 15 minutes…
